Vice President, Insigma Hengtian Software, Ltd.

Mr. Wei Shi is Vice President of Insigma Hengtian Software, Ltd and is mainly responsible for the company’s offshore IT services, including the R&D and delivery for U.S. and European clients, as well as assisting in managing the company’s daily operations. He also served as the Deputy General Manager of Anhui Insigma Hengtian Software Co., Ltd., responsible for the overall management.

Mr. Shi joined Hengtian in 2007 and has served in a variety of roles including Technical Team Leader, Project Manager, and Account Manager. With years of project management experience in the financial information industry, Mr. Shi possesses  sophisticated domain knowledge and insight into transfer agency systems for funds, as well as practical IT solutions for the U.S. healthcare system and life and pension business in Europe. He is very familiar with account management practices for multi-national funds and pension regulations in China and Ireland. He has successfully completed nearly 100 projects for Hengtian’s European and North American clients, including but not limited to the “Commission Engine for European Hedge Funds”, “ISA in the UK”, “L&P Consumer Portal for the U.S.” and “POS Solution to U.S. Healthcare Entities”, thereby fostering close relationships with a number of Hengtian’s strategic clients. In 2013, he was interviewed by China Central Television’s (CCTV) Financial Channel. In 2019, he was selected as NICSA NOVA award winner in the Emerging Leaders category.

Since 2015, Mr. Shi has been responsible for the foundation and operations of Anhui Insigma Hengtian Software, Ltd. As the second delivery center of Hengtian, Anhui Hengtian has provided strong support for the project delivery at home and abroad. As an important part of Hengtian’s entry into central China, Anhui Hengtian is playing its role as a focal point that facilitates the business expansion in new region.

Mr. Shi graduated from Zhejiang University with a PhD in Computer Science, and was a key member of multiple Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) national projects. His research interests include grid computing and pervasive computing.
