Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Insigma Hengtian Software, Ltd.
Mr. Shanping Li is Senior Vice President of Insigma Hengtian Software, Ltd. He is mainly responsible for the company’s technology directions, and is also leading the Infrastructure Department, the Information Security Office and the Advanced Consulting Service Department.
Prior to the current position, Mr. Li has been a professor in the College of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University. He has over 30 years of experience in teaching courses at Zhejiang University and has also published many technical books covering various advanced topics, including books’Linux Operating System and Experimental Tutorial (1999)’, ‘Code Analysis to Linux Kernel’, ‘Learning while Digging: Learning Linux Kernel by Practice’, etc.
He has led the team to complete 9 national and provincial research and development projects, and won the third prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress, and the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education. He was awarded the CIMS Theme Advanced Worker of National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) and was selected to Zhejiang Provincial ‘New Century 151 Talent Project’.
Mr. Li received his PhD degree in computer science from Zhejiang University. His interesting research areas include Very Large Information Systems, Distributed Computing, Operating System Kernels, and Software Engineering.
