On Oct.29th 2017, Professor Mark Hutchinson, Dean of Cork University Business School, and Doctor Philip O’Reilly, Director of the State Street Advanced Technology Centre at University College Cork (UCC), paid a visit to Hengtian Hangzhou headquarters. Mr. Bo Zhou, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Wei Shi, Vice President, of Hengtian warmly welcomed them on their visit. In early September of this year, Hengtian and UCC signed a MoU that allows the two organizations to collaborate as partners in developing technology products and services in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

He has been at UCC since 2002 where he is also the Deputy Head of the Business School and Co-Director of the Centre for Investment Research.
Doctor Philip has led research teams which have been successful in securing an excess of €2m in research funding for Fintech. He has received the Stafford Beer Medal in recognition of the most outstanding contribution to the philosophy, theory and practice of Information Systems (IS) from the Operational Research Society.
Figure 2: Mr. Bo Zhou (the first in the left) was introducing the company at Insigma Exhibition Hall Figure 3: During the meetingDuring the meeting, Hengtian managers introduced Hengtian’s development history, a current business overview and self-owned innovative products such as BlueMorpho, Data Analysis Platform, Enterprise Private Cloud, China Money Market products, Internet Finance products, etc. Since UCC has been studying the quantitative trading model of futures for more than ten years, the team has great interest in HengYing, Hengtian’s Quantitative Trading product for futures, and a deeper communication will be made in the future.
During their visit in Hangzhou, the UCC and Hengtian executives also attended the symposium on Cognitive Computing which was jointly sponsored by State Street, Zhejiang University and UCC. In addition, Doctor Zhiyu Peng, the Principle Engineer of Hengtian, delivered a speech on data-driven investment strategies in the security market.
