Insigma Hengtian presented at the IT Management and Engineering Practices (ITMEP) conference in Hong Kong on Dec. 9th-10th at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. AVP Dr. Xinyu Wang delivered a presentation at ITMEP outlining the co-sourcing model used at Hengtian and how it can be applied to outsourcing projects to enhance client control and give the client greater predictability throughout a project lifecycle. The case study contrasted the co-sourcing model with traditional vendor outsourcing and resourcing models and highlighted how co-sourcing teams work as an extension of a company’s IT department rather than a replacement for it. The presentation was well received, and Hengtian looks forward to attending and presenting at more conferences in Hong Kong in the future.
The first ever International Conference on IT Management and Engineering Practices (ITMEP) was held Dec. 9th-10th, 2010. Its precursor being the famed AP SEPGSM (Asia Pacific Software Engineering Process Group) conference series, this conference offered an expanded set of topics and opportunities for participants to engage in active discussions. The key focus was on proven IT management practices and engineering techniques and methods that lead to outstanding performance. Audience coming from various industrial sectors and backgrounds included IT professionals as well as academics, from government bureaus to small and medium enterprises, and from non-government organizations to multi-national companies.
