On July 26, Hengtian was the recipient of an R&D fund award for BlueMorpho, its automated legacy system modernization solution that embraces language translation and architecture transformation principles. The award was conferred by the Zhejiang Economic and Information Commission.
BlueMorpho is one of the many innovation initiatives in Hengtian. Evolving from a pure R&D project in year 2011, BlueMorpho capitalized decades of in-house software engineering experiences and transformed it into various automated tools, including COBOL to Java migration, business rules extraction and system document ontology etc.
BlueMorpho stands out from other modernization solutions due to its platform and language independence, automated architecture transformation framework, user friendly transformation DSL, and Cloud-enabled reference architecture.
The Commission’s fund award will enable Hengtian to make great strides on the project as well as to accelerate technology innovation in the financial industry.
