Hengtian Hosts HCU Leadership Delegation to Strengthen Industry-Academia Partnerships

On May 6, a delegation from Hangzhou City University (HCU), led by President Prof. Bo Yang, visited Hengtian to explore collaborative opportunities between academia and industry. The delegation was welcomed by Hengtian’s Chairman and CEO Mr. Zhou Bo, Vice President, and COO Mr. Zhu Xiaochun, alongside representatives from the company’s HR department, marketing department, and ZUCC alumni.

During a tour of Hengtian’s Exhibition Hall, the delegation delved into the company’s evolution, core operations, and breakthroughs in technology. The discussions spotlighted Hengtian’s cutting-edge applications in smart finance, sustainable energy solutions, and artificial intelligence, underscoring its role as a leader in digital transformation.

President Bo Yang outlined ZUCC’s mission as a university co-founded by the Hangzhou Municipal Government and Zhejiang University. With a focus on urban digital transformation, ZUCC prioritizes cutting-edge disciplines such as smart healthcare, hypergraph computing, and AI-powered archaeology, aiming to cultivate future-ready professionals. The university proposed expanding collaboration with Hengtian through joint faculty programs, industry-aligned curriculum development, and student career platforms to bridge academia with real-world innovation.

Mr. Zhou Bo reaffirmed Hengtian’s commitment to fostering talent through strategic partnerships. “By combining academic expertise with industry insights, we hope to establish flagship programs in ‘Computer Science + Industry Applications,’ equipping students with both technical mastery and hands-on experience,” he stated.

Mr. Zhu Xiaochun highlighted the success of existing collaborations, including a shared internship platform and co-developed training modules. “Our partnership has empowered students through mentorship and real-world project exposure, creating a talent pipeline for the tech sector,” He noted. Hengtian maintains strong ties with Zhejiang University and other institutions to advance research commercialization and workforce development.

Looking forward, by integrating R&D, education, and industry needs, Hengtian will focus on scalable training models and cross-sector innovation hubs to support emerging technologies and sustainable growth.
